Five A&FIC young people and one trainer travelled to Seattle, USA, in August 2013 to take part in the American Youth Circus Orgnaization Festival. The festival brought together young people from across the United States to take part in workshops, masterclasses and performances sharing their passions and skills with each other. The festival took place at SANCA, Seattle’s School of Acrobatics and New Circus Arts.

The A&FIC troupe performance was well received showcasing the high level of British Youth Circus to our American friends. On an international stage A&FIC young people held their own – amazing and inspiring others showing that A&FIC really are world class.

In September 2014 the A&FIC teaching team travelled to Montreal, Canada to attend the AYCO Educators Conference. This was an incredible opportunity to both learn from youth circus tutors from the USA and Canada and to share our teaching methods and ideas with other passionate circus instructors.
